The costs associated with asbestos abatement projects conducted in public buildings in Erie County, Pennsylvania, USA were evaluated during the time period 1992 to 1994. These data include the approximate quantity and catego ry of asbestos-containing materials abated, the costs, name of the contractor performing the remediation, and the time period over which the work had been performed. Information of this nature provides insight into the economic considerations, management decisions, environmental hazard liabilities and future problems related to this environmental practice.
